W A R N I N G: Critical engine and docking system failure. FTL Jump Drives miscalculation diverted, setting route for surface of planet Earth.
The noise would blare through the cockpit of the stolen modern Sadalan space craft. Curbita, unfamiliar with the technology, flipped the switched of the great device over and over again trying to decipher the mystic code of the whole mechanized beast. There was no way she was going to prevent the automated systems.
"Oh shit, wait. That's not landing we're going to crash!" She cursed to herself, letting out her frustrations by slamming her closed fist into the console screen of the spaceship, listening to machine 'WHIR' as a fire caught inside the pod.
W A R N I N G: Path change approved, landing in Northern Quadrant instead of pre-chosen Southern Quadrant path. Unknown location coordinates entered, no flight path plans available. Activating manual driving systems
"Wait wh-" She could barely let out as the hundreds of tiny shards of glass came to life inside of the darkened pod, lighting up with the morning sky. The internals of the pod seemed to disappear around her, seldom two joysticks before her, while she was suddenly shown the full 360 degree view of the outside of the pod. Below her, within a hundred feet or so was a forest, approaching fast. The trees like spears awaiting to pierce the vessel and end the life of the Saiyaness inside.
Curbita began to freak out, grabbing hold of the control sticks, pulling back, watching the pod level as it sped fast through the forest, almost hitting the ground. As she took a breath oh relief, she guided the machine with the panel below her, dodging and weaving through the trees at ninety miles per hour, barely five feet off of the ground below, her reflexes being the only thing keeping her from crashing headlong into one of the great evergreens before her.
It was not long until she broke free of the tree line, entering into a vast open field of snow and tall grass, at the foothill of a mountain, entering a fjord. She barely had the time to see the beautiful landscape, when a jumping deer in front of the pod lept forward in fright, collapsing the front cameras of the pod and blinding the Saiyaness as it crunched against the pod in a head-on collision.
Freaking out from the hit, she span the pod on accident, losing speed and velocity as she began to spin like a top before colliding with the snow, and creating a tunnel deep into the cold snow as she finally settled against the mountain, the pod at rest and completely blinded by the destruction of all of it's camera functions.
The spaceship attempted to alert her of the malfunction, but caught fire instead, forcing Curbita to kick open the door to the outside, jumping out and to safety as the pod behind her detonated like a warhead, creating a massive explosion and engulfing the entire area in a small fire, quickly put out mostly by the melting snow.
Curbita could hardly hold back the laughter of the whole risky maneuver, the adrenaline still pumping while she rose to her feet, her tail flicking in the air to remove the gathered snow and water in her fur. She patted away at the black smog and dust coating part of her armor, looking at her surroundings to get a basic understanding of the Earth.
She knew her brothers and sisters from the glacier had planned some kind of attack on this planet, though it was likely over now. Her guidance system put her in a locked sleep in between the planets of Earth and Sadal, refusing to go any faster to arrive on time, to maybe help those who were fighting for their honor. Sadly, she was likely seen as a deserter now, a leader no more to whats left of her people. All she could hope for, is to find what's left, if any at all.
Turning around, Curbita saw the blood splatter across the field, stretching maybe fourty feet total, with small bits of flesh here and there from the poor deer. She couldn't help but feel sorry for the animal, knowing it was dead before it even could register what had happened to it. Hopefully the afterlife was less cruel to the beast than she was.
Further off from her landing, inside of the fjord, stood a small town. She knew this, by both the smoke stacks on the horizon, as well as the rumbling of motor vehicles nearby showed clear signs of life. She debated outright going to the town to investigate, or staying, unsure of what to do going forward.
"Hm..." She pondered, scratching at her chin while she looked at her surroundings once more. "On one hand, this looks like a murder scene. Probably best not to be found here... Especially with the whole explosion, it might attract the locals. On the other hand, depending on how widespread the previous attack was, there's a good fifty-fifty chance they wont even know what I am. I could use this to escape, or I could get caught immediately. Agh, think Curby, think. What would mother have done..."
